Hey there, time traveller!

While many spent Christmas Day gathered together with friends and family, Tracy Munn cuddled up with a special family of her own.
Every year for the holidays, Munn has a meal of turkey and fish prepared for the dozens of animals at the Brandon Humane Society.
On Christmas Day, Munn, who is shelter manager, took her dinners to the Humane Society building at the corner of 17th Street E. and Patricia Avenue to treat her dogs and cats to a holiday feast.
It may just be a part of the job, but after 21 years, Munn says it’s the best way to spend her Christmas Day.
“They’re so grateful and excited. They all deserve this … especially in this ugly cold,” she said.
Altogether, Munn prepared 30 meals of turkey and gravy for the dogs and upwards of 40 dishes of cooked white fish for the cats.
Along with the food, the animals were given a new batch of Christmas toys from A Pet Lovers Warehouse.
The pet store sets up a tree each year and encourages customers to support the Humane Society and volunteer organization Funds For Furry Friends by buying a gift for a cat or dog.
Munn said she was grateful to everyone who donated, adding the animals have already started playing with their new toys and treats.
“Everybody deserves to have a wonderful Christmas,” she said, “two-legged and four-legged.”
