Brandon Fire and Emergency Services says no one was injured after crews helped put out a fire inside a home early Saturday morning.
At approximately 20 minutes past midnight, BFES received a call of a hydro line that was sparking outside of a home near the corner of Second Street and Victoria Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, Capt. Don Matthews said a fire was seen inside of the home on the main floor.
He said firefighters were able to contain the fire to that area, with crews on scene for more than four hours.
The extent of the damage to the home is unknown at this time and BFES did not have any additional information about the original call about the hydro line.
But Matthews said there was smoke damage to the rest of the residence.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner investigated and determined that the fire was not suspicious. The cause is still under investigation.
