Two Steinbach businesses are close to opening locations in Brandon.
Reimer Overhead Doors and S.A.R. Sports and Recreation recently put up signs on a new building at 1601 First St. Owner Curtis Enns told The Sun that Reimer Overhead Doors plans to open on Monday, while S.A.R. is aiming to be in business by July 2 after the Canada Day long weekend. Enns has worked for the company for 20 years and owned it for eight.
Reimer Overhead Doors installs and services overhead doors for residential and commercial purposes such as garage doors and security doors.
S.A.R., which has been in business for 10 years, sells outdoor powersport vehicles and equipment such as all-terrain vehicles, mowers, dirt bikes and snowmobiles. Enns said that S.A.R.’s Brandon location will sell Honda and Husqvarna brand equipment.
“We’ve done a fair amount of business in the area with Reimer Doors over the last 25 years,” Enns said. “We saw a need in Brandon to move here and expand here.”
“Being closer to the No. 1 highway, closer to Saskatchewan, there’s a whole lot of reasons for us to want to be in Brandon.”
Enns said that S.A.R. plans to service any makes and models of powersport machinery in addition to its sales and eventually add fishing and surf boats to their inventory.
