If the application is approved, Brandon could be getting a new service station and yet another Tim Hortons.
According to documents found on the City of Brandon’s website, local Tim Hortons franchisee Rhonda Pardy is looking to develop a plot of land at 1505 1st Street at the intersection with Richmond Avenue. The paperwork is dated May 16, 2019.
The space would include an Esso station and a Tim Hortons. Crane Steel Structures is listed as the contractor for the development.
Because the land is not zoned for gas stations, developers have applied to the city for an exception. A public hearing will eventually be called in relation to this application, but has yet to be scheduled.
The Sun has reached out to Pardy for comment.
