The Casa Blanca Motor Lodge will soon be no longer.
Jacobson Commercial confirmed to the Sun on Monday that demolition on the defunct motel will begin today and should conclude by the end of the week. The company is not yet ready to announce future development plans for the property.
It was reported in November that the Building Re-Fit Store was going to be salvaging items it could sell from the building before demolition.
The lodge had a checkered past, among other things being the site of the arrest of a Colorado man that had kidnapped his son and fled to Canada in 2013.
