Dauphin’s Countryfest is still going ahead as planned, organizers announced on Friday.

While organizers are monitoring the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual music festival is proceeding as normal.

“We are currently (four) months out from the gates opening and are more than confident that as resilient Manitobans and Canadians, this will all be a non-issue by then, and we continue to plan for another great year!” organizers wrote in an email.

The event, set for July 2 to 5, attracts thousands of people to Dauphin every year.
