For its latest fundraiser, the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is getting artsy.
Five pieces of art from local artists are being auctioned off online with all the proceeds going to the Exhibition.
They include:
• A custom painting of an area location of your choice by Weiming Zhao (current bid $475).
• A painting of the Dome Building titled “Display Building No. II – June 22, 2018” by Weiming Zhao (current bid $325).
• A new in-progress painting by Erickson-based artist Lavender Woodman titled “Helios” (current bid $300).
• A signed print from Terry McLean’s limited series titled “Prairie Twilight” (current bid $200).
• A signed print from Terry McLean’s limited series titled “Summer Hay” (no bid yet).
Bidding for the artworks ends on Monday, Dec. 21 at 9 p.m. Winning bidders will be able to pick up their art on Dec. 22 and 23. Payments are due via etransfer.
The Exhibition is hoping to raise at least $5,000 for this fundraiser, on top of other recent fundraisers it is running to help cover costs after the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair had to be called for a second consecutive year due to COVID-19.
A GoFundMe campaign raising money for the Exhibition had raised $14,156 as of Wednesday.
