The following is a rundown of various local businesses and services’ hours of operation on Louis Riel Day.
The list is far from complete. If you want your service or business to be included in The Brandon Sun’s next holiday hours listing, email your hours of operation a few days in advance to reporter Colin Slark at cslark@brandonsun.com, with “Holiday Hours” in the subject line.
BRANDON SUN
The Brandon Sun will not publish a newspaper on Louis Riel Day, although a reporter will remain on duty to post breaking news at brandonsun.com.
The next edition of the Sun will be published on Feb. 16.
COVID TESTING
The drive-thru COVID-19 testing site in Brandon on Van Horne Avenue behind the Manitoba Emergency Services college will be open from 8:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The testing site at the Keystone Centre will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. by appointment only while the Seventh Street Access Centre will be closed.
CITY OF BRANDON
• Brandon City Hall (410 Ninth St.), the City of Brandon Civic Services Complex (900 Richmond Ave. East), the Parks Complex (2020 McGregor Ave.), Brandon Community Sportsplex (30 Knowlton Dr.), the Eastview Landfill and the A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex (638 Princess Ave.) will be closed.
• Brandon Transit routes will run on statutory holiday hours, which is hourly service from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The transit info centre will be closed.
• For any after-hours public works emergencies, call the City of Brandon Public Works After-Hours Line at 204-729-2285.
MEDICAL CLINICS
• The Newmount Medical Clinic (624 18th St.) will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
• The Brandon Clinic (620 Dennis St.) will be closed.
• Brandon Clinic West (2835 Victoria Ave.) will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Wheat City Clinic (1711 Kirkcaldy Dr.) will be closed.
• The Western Medical Clinic (2425 Victoria Ave.) will be closed.
• Rosser Medical Group (841 Rosser Ave.) will be closed.
• Trinity Medical Clinic (335 18th St.) will be closed.
GROCERY STORES
• The Real Canadian Superstore (920 Victoria Ave.) will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Sobeys Extra Brandon South (1645 18th St.) and Sobeys Brandon West (3409 Victoria Ave.) will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• The Co-op Marketplace (1035 Richmond Ave.) will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• The Walmart Supercentre in the Corral Centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
LIQUOR
• Brandon’s three full Liquor Mart locations and one Express location will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• The Keystone Beer Company (1865 Brandon Ave.) will be open from 10 a.m. until midnight.
• Beer Warehouse (Victoria Inn, 3550 Victoria Ave.) will be open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
• The 40 (210 18th St.) will be open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
PHARMACIES
There are too many pharmacies to list, so it’s best to contact the pharmacy of choice for its hours of operation. However, Brandon’s Shoppers Drug Marts are known for remaining open. The store at 139 Victoria Ave. East will be open from 9 a.m. to midnight while the one at Shoppers Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
