The Brandon Police Service has launched an online criminal record check system.
The portal lets people apply for their criminal record check online on the police service’s website, a police press release reads.
Previously, people needing a check would have had to go to the police station in person or schedule.
Police checks can now be completed 24 hours a day and all aspects handled virtually. Fee payment is also handled online.
“The Brandon Police Service’s hope is that citizens will attempt to conduct business using this new online database and that congestion, wait times and personal contact will be minimized while also seeing an improvement in our customer service,” the press release reads.
