Police in Sandy Bay First Nation arrested a man in early September after he was allegedly found with bear spray and drugs while riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

On Sept. 5 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Manitoba First Nations Police Service officers stopped a man driving an ATV, according to a press release.

The driver allegedly fled but was arrested a short time later. He was found with bear spray, a small amount of cash and approximately three grams of cocaine.

At the time, police say he had three outstanding arrest warrants.

The 24-year-old man was charged with resisting arrest, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of failing to comply with a release order and possession of cocaine.
