Assiniboine Community College is teaming up with the Brandon Flight Centre to provide an aviation management certificate program that will be available in the upcoming fall semester.
The new two-year initiative is designed to accommodate those who have no previous flight experience and are looking to kick-start their career in the aviation industry.
According to a Tuesday news release from ACC, graduates of the program will receive a commercial pilot licence, 200 hours of flight time and the business know-how needed to succeed in a variety of fields.

Brandon Flight Centre CEO David Creighton said in the release that aviation is a key component in several of Manitoba’s major industries — including agriculture, hydro and medical transport — which will provide graduates with a lot of opportunities in terms of employment.
“Whether you are looking to see the world, or be home every night with your family, there are many different opportunities to choose from,” Creighton said. “We are confident that this will provide the best training to prepare our students for the emerging future of post-pandemic aviation.”
