Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day, a celebration of Indigenous culture, traditions and history. Interestingly, it also coincides with Go Skateboarding Day, a worldwide event created in 2004 by the International Association of Skateboard Companies.

Sun photographer Tim Smith took some portraits and action shots of Indigenous skateboard enthusiasts to mark both events during a photo shoot here in Brandon at the Kristopher Campbell Memorial Skatepark on Monday.
