HUDSON BAY, Sask. – A search for a missing five-year-old boy in eastern Saskatchewan has ended with the child being found dead.

RCMP issued a news release late Friday asking for public assistance to find the boy, noting he was autistic.

It said he was last seen earlier in the evening walking west from a home about five kilometres outside of Hudson Bay, Sask.

The release noted he was non-verbal and was not wearing clothes at the time he was last seen.

Police sent an update Saturday afternoon that the boy had been found dead near the area.

The say their investigation has determined his death is not suspicious.
