For the first time since 2019, organizers of the Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede managed to bring this well-loved Austin event back for Manitoba audiences.

One of the biggest draws of the four-day event, which celebrates this province’s agricultural history and pioneering roots, has got to be the even rodeo events that took place Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the facility’s ironic covered grandstand.

Brandon Sun photographer Tim Smith travelled to Austin on Saturday night for the final evening of rodeo action — a night of barrel racing and wrangling roping. Here are some of his best images of the evening.
