Brandonites will soon be able to cool down in the summer heat.

Spray parks and paddle pools are set to open on Thursday, while the Kinsmen pool has a tentative opening date of June 15.

All spray parks will be open through Sept. 2. Stanley Park, Kin Park and Valleyview spray parks will be unsupervised this season, while Rideau Park and Westridge spray parks and paddle pools will be supervised.

All five spray parks and paddle pools are free to use on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Kinsmen Pool will be open from June 15 to Sept. 2. All children under the age of seven must be accompanied by an adult or guardian 13 years or older.

Admission for infants under two is free. Children two to 12 are charged $4, youth 13 to 17 and seniors 55 and over pay $5, adults 18 to 54 pay $6, and families with two adults and up to five children pay $14.

Kinsmen Pool admission is cash only.

The City of Brandon’s parks and recreation services department encourages members of the public to take advantage of this facilities throughout the summer months.
