Wasagaming RCMP have charged a suspect in the stabbing of Erickson resident Candace Richardson during an invasion of her home last Tuesday.
Eighteen-year-old Carter Prince of Erickson has been charged with attempted murder, break and enter to commit an indictable offence, and posession of a prohibited weapon.
Richardson, a 30-year-old woman, was transported to Winnipeg hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries. The male attacker fled the scene prior to police arrival. Richardson was in an early stage of pregnancy when she was attacked.
Prince, who was scheduled to appear in Brandon court today, was remanded into custody.
