Garage break-in

Police are looking for more information about a break and enter to a garage on the 400 block of Sixth Street on Monday.

A black GT Aggressor mountain bike was stolen from the garage.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the break-in and theft to contact BPS headquarters at 204-729-2345.

Arrest in assault case

A 29-year-old man has been arrested following an incident in which a person was assaulted and a VLT was damaged.

On June 8, police received a report that an employee at a business on the 1100 block of 18th Street had been assaulted and threatened by a man. The man also allegedly damaged a VLT before leaving.

The employee did not require medical attention.

Security footage from the business assisted police in identifying the 29-year-old man who was located and arrested on Monday.

He will appear in court on Aug. 14 on charges of mischief to property under $5,000, assault, and uttering threats.

 

Employees threatened

A man who allegedly threatened to shoot employees at an 18th Street business has been arrested.

On Monday around 8 p.m., police responded to a report of a man who had allegedly told employees that he would come back to the business and shoot them after he had been told he was banned from the store for attempting to steal merchandise.

Security footage from the business helped police identify the 51-year-old man, who was located and arrested shortly after 9 p.m.

Police say that the man allegedly stole from a business on the 1200 block of 18th Street earlier that same evening.

The man will appear in court on Aug. 17 on charges of uttering threats and theft under $5,000.

 

Found with stolen wallets

A man who was allegedly checking vehicles while in possession of break-in tools and stolen wallets has been arrested.

On Tuesday at around 3:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a man who was apparently checking vehicles in the area of the North Hill.

Police located the 38-year-old man on Kirkcaldy Drive and found that he had two stolen wallets from the 500 block of Braecrest Drive on him. He also had a pair of side-cutters.
