Dozens of local families gathered at the Riverbank Discovery Centre Saturday night to enjoy a free screening of Universal Pictures’ The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was projected across the Fusion Credit Union Stage as the sun began to set.
Riverbank staff also provided the youth with some activities to tide them over until the movie started, including a scavenger hunt that encouraged them to explore different parts of the grounds.
Saturday’s movie night — made possible thanks to sponsors like Sunset Rotary Brandon, Venture Accounting and Kelleher Ford — served as a preview for the Riverbank’s upcoming Canada Day activities, which includes music, fireworks and a fly-by from members of the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum.
