Homicide suspect arrested

Police have made an arrest in the murder of 46-year-old Robert Hall.

On Thursday, police arrested 25-year-old Jarrod Paul on a charge of second-degree murder.

Hall was found with stab wounds in the 900 block of Pacific Avenue on Aug. 27.

He was transported to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Aggravated assault

A 22-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a man following a report of a break-in at a 13th Street apartment.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a possible break and enter to an apartment on the 300 block of 13th Street.

When police arrived, nobody was inside, but they noticed blood on the walls and floor.

Shortly after 3 a.m., police responded again to the same address for a similar complaint. This time, a man was located in the building with several serious injuries that seemed to be caused by an edged weapon.

He was taken to hospital, while a 22-year-old woman who was at the scene was arrested. She was charged with aggravated assault.

Theft under $5,000

A 30-year-old man has been charged for allegedly stealing a cellphone from a parked car on Princess Avenue on Thursday.

Shortly after 3 p.m., police responded to a report of a theft of a cellphone from a parked car in the 800 block of Princess Avenue.

A witness took a photo of the 30-year-old man, which helped police identify him.

He was located nearby and arrested.

He will appear in court on Nov. 9 on a charge of theft under $5,000.
