Intoxicated woman
A 23-year-old woman was arrested Thursday at about 2:30 a.m., when police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue.
The woman was intoxicated and the source of the complaint, police said. After her arrest, she was held at Brandon Police Service headquarters to be released once sober.
Failing to abide by curfew
While driving in the 800 block of Princess Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday, police say, they “came across” a 45-year-old man who had been given orders to abide by a daily curfew as well as other conditions.
He was arrested and held at Brandon Police Service to appear in court Friday, on charges of failing to comply with a release order.
Breach of probation
Just after 11 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a report of a 23-year-old intoxicated woman who had fallen outside a business in the 1000 block of 18th Street.
Upon further investigation, police say she had previously been given a condition not to consume alcohol.
She was arrested and later released to appear in court on Nov. 2, 2023, on a charge of breaching her probation.
Employee punched
Police say a 30-year-old woman is accused of punching an employee at an establishment on the 200 block of 18th Street North.
Officers responded to the establishment shortly after 11 p.m., and say a patron punched an employee after a verbal altercation.
The woman was arrested, charged with assault, and held at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober, with a court date of Dec. 14.
Charged with assault
Police laid a charge of assault from an incident that happened in September.
On Thursday, police received a report that a man was the victim of an assault that happened on Sept. 18.
Further investigation, police say, revealed that the man was hit in the face several times by a 31-year-old woman. She was located, charged with assault, and released with a Dec. 18 court date.
Outstanding warrants
Police located and arrested a 39-year-old man who was wanted on outstanding charges of assault. He was released to appear in court on Dec. 11.
A 30-year-old man who was wanted on outstanding charges of failing to attend court was located and arrested at about 10:45 a.m. He was released, with a court date of Nov. 2.
A 41-year-old man was taken into custody for outstanding charges of breaching probation, according to police. He was held in custody, with a Friday court date.
Police found and arrested a 16-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of assault as well as failing to comply with an order of a previous release order. He was held at Brandon Police Service station until his Friday court appearance.
