Police received a report of a collision in the 1500 block of Rosser Avenue around 6 p.m. on Dec. 15.

A vehicle was travelling the wrong way on the one-way street when it caused a collision with another vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene.

The suspect then contacted police reporting that his vehicle had been stolen. He later recanted his report and admitted he was involved in the collision.

On Monday, the man surrendered to BPS. He will appear in court on Feb. 8 on a charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. He was also issued a Highway Traffic Act ticket for failure to exchange particulars.
