Police said in a release that officers and the local fire department responded to the fire in the community of San Clara, located within Roblin, around 6:20 a.m.

Once the flames had been extinguished, firefighters located the deceased within the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation by RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
