Manitoba Ag Days wrapped up last week, but the organization that runs it is continuing the momentum the event brought to Manitoba by donating to various local and regional programs.
Ag Days has just entered its second decade of investing in rural communities and education through its Ag Days Gives Back program, a press release issued Tuesday said.
All of the funds that were raised through the Manitoba Ag Days 50/50 ticket sales are being used again this year to support kindergarten to Grade 12 agricultural education, post-secondary agricultural education and community organizations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

The 17 community grant recipients represent different areas of the province broken up into quadrants, and were each awarded $2,000 toward the completion of their project.
This year, the Ag Days Gives Back Scholarships criteria were expanded to include any post-secondary education and training that is related to agriculture. Briana Rathwell of the University of Saskatoon, Rylee Olafson of Lakeland College and Blake Artz of Assiniboine Community College each received $2,000.
The Education and Leadership Grant of $10,000 was awarded to Agriculture in the Classroom — Manitoba.
Applications for the next round of scholarships will open this fall and will be awarded at Manitoba Ag Days 2025, which is set to run from Jan. 21-23.
