Pair of assaults
Two people were charged with assault in separate incidents in Brandon on Monday.
In the first instance, police were called to a home on the 1000 block of 10th Street for an intoxicated woman who was causing a disturbance.
Police learned that a 21-year-old woman allegedly assaulted one of the residents in the home. She will appear in court on April 29.
In the second instance, police were called to a home on the 800 block of 20th Street around 2:52 p.m. for a disturbance. A 32-year-old man was charged for allegedly assaulting a 30-year-old woman. He will appear in court on April 25.
Uttering threats
A 34-year-old man was arrested on Monday afternoon after allegedly threatening to kill a 60-year-old woman.
Around 2:21 p.m., the woman called police to report that a family member’s boyfriend called her and threatened to kill her.
The man was located and arrested for uttering threats. He will appear in court on April 29.
Theft under $5,000
A 32-year-old woman was arrested on Monday afternoon after allegedly shoplifting from a store on the 900 block of Victoria Avenue.
Around 1:10 p.m., police were called to the business where they learned the woman had filled up a cart with merchandise and was allegedly in the parking lot wearing a stolen shirt with the security tag still attached.
She was arrested for theft under $5,000.
