There’s nothing like a little puppy love on Valentine’s Day, particularly for patients who find themselves in a hospital bed or seeking in-hospital treatment.

On Wednesday, team members with Prairie Area Therapy Dogs (PATDogs) spent the evening visiting patients, residents, family and staff at the Brandon Regional Health Centre together with some special furry friends.

PATDogs is a Brandon-based nonprofit organization that is made up of certified therapy dogs and their volunteer handler who regularly visit patients in Prairie Mountain Health. Therapy dogs help patients increase their social connection and help relieve some of the stress that patients may be feeling.
