Three people from Brandon are facing firearm and drug charges after being arrested in Dauphin on Monday.
Around 3:10 p.m., Dauphin RCMP received a report of a woman with a handgun outside of a home on Fifth Avenue Northeast in Dauphin. The woman was then reportedly seen getting into a dark van with other passengers and leaving the scene.
RCMP patrolled the area and spotted the van at a gas station on Valour Road in Dauphin. Four people were in the van.

Inside the van, police found a loaded handgun as well as multiple knives, a hatchet-type weapon, alcohol, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
All occupants of the van were taken into custody.
Two women aged 33 and 35, and Cody Genaille, 39 — all from Brandon — were charged with firearm and drug-related offences.
Genaille remains in custody, while the women were released with a court date.
Genaille’s matter will appear in Brandon court next Tuesday.
Roland Klyne, 40, from Key Reserve, Sask., was also arrested on firearm and drug charges.
According to police, while Klyne was in custody, he allegedly attacked police officers and was additionally charged with assaulting a police officer and uttering threats.
He remains in custody. His matter will appear in Dauphin court on Friday.
