Around 11:43 p.m. on Aug. 8, police and members of Brandon Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report of an unconscious man in the laneway between the 400 blocks of 12th and 13th streets.

Witnesses tried to perform CPR on the man before first responders arrived. But the man had serious injuries and was pronounced dead on scene.

An updated story will appear in the Saturday edition of the Sun.
