A four-year-old child was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg Monday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle on Victoria Avenue.
Brandon police had blocked off the westbound lanes of Victoria Avenue between 22nd and 25th streets and officers were seen taking photographs of the road.
Sgt. Jason Dupuis told the Sun that the four-year-old ran out onto the road on Victoria Avenue and was struck by a vehicle around 3:30 p.m. He said he couldn’t confirm the nature of the child’s injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was co-operative with the police, he said.
Police are continuing to investigate, Dupuis said, adding that he doesn’t anticipate that charges will be laid.
