Fraud under $5,000

A 38-year-old woman was arrested for fraud after allegedly transferring $1,300 to herself from another woman’s bank account earlier this month.

The victim told police that she knew the woman who had accessed her bank account and transferred the money.

The woman will appear in court on July 4.

Theft under $5,000

A man was arrested after allegedly stealing food items from a Brandon store on Wednesday.

Around 6:30 p.m., an employee from a business on the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported that two men were in the store loading their arms full of Pizza Pops and chocolate bars. One of the men allegedly left the store without paying.

A 32-year-old man was located a short distance away with the stolen items and was arrested.

Impaired driver

A 40-year-old man was arrested after allegedly driving under the influence Wednesday night.

Around 11:53 p.m., a business on the 1200 block of 18th Street reported that an intoxicated driver was leaving their parking lot. Police located the man, who was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

He also had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. He will appear in court on June 18.
