Assault with a weapon in ER
A 50-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday after allegedly striking a 27-year-old in the back while in the emergency department of the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Police went to the emergency department after security staff detained the woman, who allegedly used a metal object to strike the victim in the back. The two did not know each other, police say.
The victim did not report any injuries.
The woman was charged with assault with a weapon and was due to appear in court on Friday.
Break, enter and mischief
Brandon police have arrested a 39-year-old man who allegedly pried open more than a dozen mailboxes in an 18th Street apartment building on Wednesday evening.
Police received a report from a property manager at a building on the 100 block of 18th Street who captured a man on video allegedly breaking into a vestibule then prying open mailboxes in the building.
On Thursday, police conducted a pedestrian stop on Ninth Street of a man who matched the description in the video.
He was charged with breaking, entering and committing mischief and was due to appear in court on Friday.

Officers seized 57 grams of cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash.
