Hey there, time traveller!

Starting this Thursday, the main entrance and traffic loop at Brandon Regional Health Centre will be closed for the next three months — but that timeline may be adjusted, according to Prairie Mountain Health.
The temporary closure is part of the expansion and renovation project of BRHC and the Western Manitoba Cancer Centre that began in the fall of 2022.
During this next stage of the project, there will be no traffic access to the traffic loop and no street parking at the meters on the south half of Russell Street until Aug. 31.
The Assiniboine Centre’s front doors will serve as the temporary main entrance each day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. This access is for all visitors and patients, including those checking in for X-ray, lab and ultrasound appointments and services.
Pedestrians are reminded to use the sidewalk that leads from the parking lot on Russell Street to the Assiniboine Centre.
Patients being picked up after a procedure such as an endoscopy or other surgeries are being asked to wait for their ride at the Emergency Department ramp, which is not to be used for parking or for any extended time.
People will be able to enter BRHC near the ED but must use the doors labelled “staff.”
Dialysis patients can use the laneway entrance off Frederick Street when being dropped off and picked up by a handivan or in a medical transport van.
