Lt.-Col. Jordan Beatty assumed command of the 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery at Canadian Forces Base Shilo on Friday.
He was recently employed as an advisor to the Palestinian Authority National Security Forces within the United States Security Coordination officer during the onset of the Israel-Hamas war.
Beatty takes over from outgoing 1 RCHA commanding officer Lt.-Col. Joe O’Donnell, who will be moving overseas to Latvia for his next posting.
