STARS air ambulance and Manitoba RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision Wednesday on the Trans-Canada Highway about 20 kilometres east of Carberry.

A 46-year-old man from Austin was transported to hospital in serious condition, according to an RCMP spokesperson.

The collision occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway eastbound at the intersection with Highway 351 when a pickup truck rear-ended a fertilizer truck, RCMP said.

The driver of the fertilizer truck, the vehicle that was rear-ended, reported no injuries.
