Brandon University students are currently writing their fall exams, which wrap up on Dec. 18. The holiday break will take place from Dec. 23 until Jan. 2, with winter term classes for most BU students beginning on Jan. 7.
A number of School of Music students have term-end performances this week. Among them, the Chamber Music Class concert, under the direction of Kerry DuWors, will take place on Tuesday in the Lorne Watson Recital Hall, beginning at 7 p.m. On Friday at 8 p.m., in the Lorne Watson Recital Hall, the BU Opera Workshop will perform excerpts from The Magic Flute, by Mozart. Directed by Marjorie Sparks, the performance will be fully costumed and staged. There is no admission charge for either of these performances, and all are welcome. There are also individual student recitals planned for the next two weeks, with a full schedule available at BrandonU.ca/Music.
