ARRESTED FOR BREACHING COURT ORDERS
Brandon police arrested a 34-year-old man, early on Tuesday morning, during a routine traffic stop and after the man misidentified himself. On checking, police found the man was in breach of several court orders, including failing to comply with a release order. He was also found to have violated curfew restrictions and carrying a copy of the order. Police have charged the man with public mischief and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was taken to BPS headquarters, held in a detention cell and was scheduled for court on Tuesday morning.
EX-GIRLFRIEND ASSAULTED

A 17-year-old male was arrested and charged with assault on Sunday afternoon after police responded to a call from a home on Ashgrove Boulevard about the male having slapped and kicked an 18-year-old woman, reported to be his ex-girlfriend. The accused was released after an undertaking and is set to appear in court on Jan. 7.
TEENAGER ARRESTED FOR USING PEPPER SPRAY
Police responded to a report of a pepper spray attack on Monday night in the 200 block of 8th Street, following an altercation between two teenagers playing basketball, where a 14-year-old boy pepper sprayed a 15-year-old boy. The accused had left the scene by the time officers arrived, but they found him in Brentwood Trailer Court. He was charged with assault with a weapon, taken to Brandon Police Service (BPS) headquarters and released to his father. He is set to appear in court on Feb. 18.
POLICE CRUISER HIT
A police cruiser was involved in a motor vehicle collision on Monday afternoon. The collision took place when an officer was stopped at the traffic light in the south bound lane of 13th Street and Victoria Avenue. A vehicle heading west on Victoria Avenue attempted to make a right-hand turn to go northbound on 13th and failed to navigate the corner, hitting the cruiser on the passenger side. No injuries have been reported.
INTOXICATED MAN ARRESTED
Police officers responded to a call from a residence located in the 100 block of 13th Street, early on Tuesday morning, to check for a 29-year-old man reported to be causing a disturbance. When they arrived, police found the man to be intoxicated. He was taken to BPS headquarters and held in a detention cell until sober.
ARRESTED FOR BREACHING PROBATION
Brandon police received a tip-off on Monday afternoon about the whereabouts of a 39-year-old man with an outstanding arrest warrant. Officers were notified that the man was in the 600 block of Pacific Avenue. On being located, the man was arrested and charged with breaching his probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 14.
