Cpl. Aaron MacLennan sits at the front of the bus leaving CFB Shilo on Friday. About 175 soldiers deployed from the base near Brandon, travelling to Winnipeg by bus, from where they will fly to Latvia as part of Operation Reassurance. The operation trains NATO allies and deters aggression in the area through military presence. Soldiers from Shilo will be serving a six-month deployment as part of the operation.
