ARRESTS MADE FOR OUTSTANDING WARRANTS

Brandon police have arrested two men in separate instances for having outstanding arrest warrants.

The first man — a 30-year-old male with two outstanding warrants — surrendered at the Brandon Police Service (BPS) headquarters on Monday morning.

He was kept in detention and attended court on Tuesday.

A 37-year-old man with an arrest warrant was picked up by officers in the 900 block of Princess Avenue on Monday and placed in detention.

He will appear in court on Feb. 24.

MAN ARRESTED FOR VIOLATING CURFEW

A Brandon Police Service officer arrested a 35-year-old male, early on Tuesday morning, after observing his attempts to evade the officer in the 700 block of Princess Avenue.

Upon arrest, the officer confirmed that the man was violating a curfew condition. He was held in a detention cell and appeared in court later that day.
