YOUTH HELD FOR BREACH OF PROBATION
A 13-year-old boy with an outstanding arrest warrant surrendered to BPS on Monday. He was held in detention before a court appearance slated for Tuesday.
WOMAN ARRESTED

The Brandon Police Service station at 10th Street and Victoria Avenue. The province's Independent Investigation Unit has cleared to Brandon police officers of allegations they used excessive force against a man during arrest, the IIU’s civilian director noting that the complainant's claimed injuries weren't substantiated medically and that the officers were justified in using the force they did. Brandon Police Service (BPS) arrested a 30-year-old woman on Monday morning, after she was asked to surrender to police on an outstanding arrest warrant. The woman also faces additional charges included in a warrant request file, including a failure to attend court and possession of an instrument used for a break-in. She was held in a detention cell and appeared in court on Tuesday.
MEN ARRESTED ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS
A 51-year-old man surrendered to BPS on Monday on an outstanding warrant issued by Winnipeg police related to charges of impaired driving and a failure to attend court. He was released later with a court date of March 11.
A 24-year-old man was arrested after he surrendered to BPS on advice of his probation officer on an outstanding arrest warrant. He was held in detention and attended court on Tuesday.
DRUNK WOMAN ARRESTED
Officers took an intoxicated 26-year-old woman into custody near 14th Street and Richmond Avenue on Monday afternoon after she was reported to be in the area with blood on her face. She was later located on the 1000 block of 10th Street with no shoes on. She was subjected to a medical exam and held in detention until sober.
MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
BPS officers arrested a 36-year-old man on Monday evening while conducting a walkthrough of a business on the first block of 10th Street. The accused was found to be breaching curfew and violating orders barring him from the establishment. Upon arrest, officers also recovered 16 bags of methamphetamine from him, with each bag containing varying quantities of the drug totalling up to five grams. Two knives were also found on the accused, violating orders prohibiting him from carrying knives or weapons. He was held in detention and attended court on Tuesday.
ARRESTED FOR VIOLATING CURFEW
A 40-year-old woman was arrested for violating 6 p.m. curfew conditions after officers found her at a business located on the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue early on Tuesday morning. She was held in detention and attended court later in the day.
