MAN ARRESTED
Brandon Police Service (BPS) arrested a 30-year-old man on Thursday after receiving a report about him violating a no-contact order with regards to an ex-girlfriend, who he had contacted multiple times over the last few days. The woman was relocated for her safety, and the accused was held for court.
MULTIPLE ARRESTS MADE

Local police made multiple arrests for individuals found violating court orders. Brandon police arrested a 34-year-old man near the 900 block of Victoria Avenue on Thursday for an outstanding warrant for possession of property obtained by crime. He was released later with a court date of March 6.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested on the 1300 block of Fifth Street on Thursday for failing to comply with a release order, and was released later with a March 6 court date.
After failing to attend court, a 39-year-old woman was arrested near the 800 block of Pacific Avenue early on Friday morning. She was held in detention and attended court later in the day.
ARRESTED FOR PUBLIC DRINKING
Officers arrested a 41-year-old man on Thursday for consuming liquor in public on the 200 block of Ninth Street. He was arrested for this act as well as failing to comply with an earlier release order prohibiting him from consuming alcohol. He was released later with a court date of March 6.
ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO PAY CAB FARE
A local taxi company informed officers that one of its drivers was not paid the fare due for a taxi ride by a 26-year-old male customer in the 100 block of 13th Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, BPS officers found the accused in a highly intoxicated state and causing a disturbance.
He was arrested for breaching the peace and was held in a detention cell until sober.
BPS SEEKS PUBLIC’S HELP IN ARRESTING WANTED MAN
BPS is asking the public for help in locating Nathan Scott, who is accused of breaking into a residence on Westaway Bay and discharging a noxious substance that effected multiple people inside the residence. The incident took place on Nov. 8, 2023, after which Scott fled from the scene on foot, but was located, charged and arrested. Once released, he failed to attend court and a warrant for his arrest was issued. His current whereabouts are unknown. Any information or tips can be submitted to Brandon Crime Stoppers, which offers $2,000 for anyone submitting credible information that leads to Scott being apprehended. Information on any sightings of the accused can be phoned in at 204-727- 8477.
DRUNK WOMAN ARRESTED
Police arrested a 47-year-old woman following a call on Friday afternoon reporting a couple fighting in a residence. At the scene, officers found that the disturbance was actually being caused by the woman, who was found to be highly inebriated. She was held in detention and will attend court today.
