Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 13/01/2025 (283 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
Brandon-based Sisson Auto Finance and sales, located at 1625 Parker Blvd., has acquired a building at 255 17th Street N., which includes Ronnie’s Car Wash at an undisclosed amount.
This strategic move marks an expansion for the auto dealership, co-owned by father and son Jason and Jaydan Sisson, who plan to launch the revamped car wash in spring 2025.
Jason told the Sun the auto dealership, which opened in April 2020, was founded on a commitment to making vehicle purchases easier and more transparent.

The Sissons’ decision to establish their business in Brandon stemmed from a desire to remain rooted in the community while creating an independent dealership model.
“This acquisition allows us to expand while staying true to our values of simplicity and fairness,” he said on Friday. “We always had our eye on the location. It’s a perfect fit for us, with its proximity to our dealership, gas stations, auto services and other amenities.”
Ronnie’s Car Wash will undergo upgrades to improve its functionality and customer experience, Jaydan said. The facility, a self-serve operation with three bays, already features epoxy-coated floors, soft water and foamy brushes.
“We plan to enhance the car wash by automating the doors and upgrading payment systems,” Jaydan added. “Our goal is to make the car wash operational year-round. We’re looking at software updates for tap payments, reloadable gift cards and a loyalty program for Sisson Auto customers, offering discounts and bonuses.”
Sisson Auto intends to leverage its existing customer base to drive traffic to the car wash.
“Our loyalty programs will reward repeat customers, ensuring they get added value for their support,” Jason said. “We are confident these enhancements will keep the car wash busy, even during the typically slower winter months.”
While the focus is on improving the car wash, the Sissons hinted at further streamlining operations. “We’re not looking to expand the footprint but to automate and optimize what’s already there,” Jason shared.
Jaydan explained that it operates largely on its own and there won’t be a need to employ more hands at the car wash.
“It’s pretty much self-sufficient,” he said. “You open the doors in the morning, it runs itself during the day, and then you close the doors at night. Other than some maintenance and a bit of cleaning, there’s not a lot to do.”
He highlighted the convenience of the setup: “That’s one of the benefits — there’s no need for intensive labour or anyone to monitor it constantly. Especially since it’s just across the street, if something does need attention, we can easily walk over. But it doesn’t require someone there 24/7.”
The acquisition also included an additional tenant, Auto Fashion, whose complementary services align well with Sisson Auto’s operations, Jason said.
For Jason and Jaydan, this purchase is more than a business decision — it’s a commitment to the community.
“We’re excited to bring this car wash back into operation and to continue offering excellent service to our customers,” Jason said.
