Tonight’s planned concert by Canadian rock band Sloan in Brandon has been cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions.
The band, which was scheduled to perform at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium at 7:30 tonight was not able to make it to Brandon today.
In an emailed statement Friday afternoon, WMCA general manager Kaitlyn Mitchell said that safety is the priority for both the facility and the band. Mitchell also said the facility is working to try and reschedule the concert date.
“We hope to have more details soon,” Mitchell said. “For now, stay home (if you can) and hang onto your tickets.”
WMCA is not issuing refunds at this time as Mitchell and her team work with the band and their management team to determine next steps.
