UNWANTED GUESTS REMOVED

Brandon police officers responded to a residence in the city’s west end on Tuesday, for a report of a 43-year-old woman who was no longer welcome as a guest.

The homeowner in the 600 block of McDiarmid Drive had allowed the woman to stay there for three weeks, but she was behaving in a way the owner did not like and refused to leave, according to police.

When officers arrived, they said, they discovered that the woman was the subject of an outstanding warrant for arrest, for a charge of theft under $5,000. She was arrested and held for the night at the police station. Upon her release, she was given a court date of March 18, 2025.

‘AGGRESSIVE’ MAN ARRESTED

Officers say a 39-year-old man was combative when they responded to a call late Monday night to the 1100 block of Seventh St.

A 39-year-old man was being aggressive towards family in the household, the report said, and when police arrived at 10:11 p.m., it is alleged that the man continued to be unco-operative.

He was arrested, charged with breaching the peace, and held at BPS headquarters to be released when sober.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A 40-year-old man was issued a fine for disorderly conduct in connection with an incident at a business on the corner of Pacific Avenue and 10 St.

Monday at about 11:53 p.m., officers responded to the 000 hundred block of 10th Street for a report of a man who was highly intoxicated and refused to leave. He was issued a fine under the Liquor, Gaming, Cannabis Control Act and kept in a BPS detention cell until sober.
