A 29-year-old male suspect from a January crime now faces additional charges of resisting arrest following a scuffle with police on Tuesday.
While on a separate call in the 200 block of Ninth Street on Tuesday evening, police noticed a male sitting on a bench on the 200 block of Eighth Street. They recognized him as a suspect from a break and enter case that took place on Jan. 21 on the 200 block of Rosser Avenue.
After approaching and attempting to arrest the man, police say he became very aggressive and resisted arrest.
He was held in a detention cell and was to attend court on Wednesday morning. He faces charges of resisting arrest, possession of a weapon and break and enter.
