At 5:21 p.m., a 21-year-old woman reported being assaulted by her partner in the 100 block of 13th Street. When officers arrived, they said the suspect was gone, but they were able to locate and arrest him, adding he was highly intoxicated.
The man was medically cleared, held in a Brandon Police Service detention cell to be released once sober. He has a court date of May 26 for his assault charge.

Disturbance in ER
Police responded at 2:07 a.m. Sunday to a disturbance in the emergency room at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Police say a 21-year-old man, who had required medical attention after causing a disturbance at a west end hotel, became belligerent and threatening with hospital staff, but left before police arrived. Police searched the area and located the man, who they said was highly intoxicated and continued to act belligerently.
He was arrested and lodged to be released when sober with a ticket for being intoxicated and disorderly.
Also on Sunday, police arrested a 17-year-old male for a disturbance at a north end hotel. He was to be released to his guardian along with a ticket for minor consuming liquor.

Man rolling in ditch
On Sunday at 7:45 a.m., police were called about a man rolling around in the ditch in the 1800 block of 18th Street North.

Breaching court order
Brandon police charged a 23-year-old woman with breaching a court order after responding to a call about an intoxicated person who was passed out by an elevator.
On Sunday at 1:46 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of Ninth Street, where they found the subject of the complaint. Officers determined the woman was in breach of a previous order to not be at that address.
She was arrested, medically cleared and held in a detention cell to be released once sober. The woman was given a court date of Aug. 11 for breaching the court order.
