Two Brandon women face drug trafficking charges after a two-month investigation by the Brandon Police Service organized crime section.

In a media release issued Tuesday, BPS said the investigation took place from February through April 5, when a 45-year-old woman was arrested after being found with 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Police then acted on a search warrant at a residence on the 1300 block of First Street North that they believed the woman was using to store illicit drugs. At that location, they recovered roughly 500 grams of cocaine, 42 grams of methamphetamine, drug packaging materials, multiple digital scales and multiple cellphones.

A second woman was arrested at the First Street North residence.

Charged are Tia Vincent, 45, and Angela Sellars, 47.

Both women face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine. They appeared in court on April 7.

The approximate street value of the drugs seized during this investigation is $110,000, police said.
