While the death is considered suspicious and the investigation is just starting, Mounties say they do not believe there is a risk to public safety.
RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services are assisting the Swan River RCMP detachment with the investigation and are now looking for the public’s help.
Anyone who has information about the suspicious death is being asked to call the Swan River RCMP at 204-734-4686, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Swan River is about 335 kilometres northwest of Brandon.
