Mischief and trespassing
Brandon police responded Monday evening to a report that a woman had just pulled the fire alarm and broken several windows of a downtown business.
The call was made to police at 8:10 p.m. from a business on the 900 block of Rosser Avenue.
Officers found the suspect in the 1000 block of Lorne Avenue and say she was highly intoxicated.
A 26-year-old woman, who had been barred from the business property where the incident occurred, was charged with trespassing and mischief under $5,000.
She was taken to a police detention cell to be released once sober. Her court date is July 14.

Man found hiding in residence
A police check on the well-being of a person in downtown Brandon led to the arrest of a 36-year-old man in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police went to a home on the 200 block of Princess Avenue at 12:40 a.m. after someone saw a 29-year-old woman from the residence with a bloody face, Brandon police said in a news release.
The woman did not co-operate with police, but officers found a man hiding in the residence. Police say the man was under court-ordered conditions to not have contact with the woman.
He was arrested, charged with breaching conditions and held in a BPS detention cell for a court appearance Tuesday morning.
Spray-painting binge nets charge
A 26-year-old man was charged after allegedly spray-painting the sidewalk and roads at Kirkcaldy Drive and 18th Street on Monday afternoon.
The incident was reported to police at 2:03 p.m. Officers located the suspect, who had also spray-painted a pole, according to BPS.
The man was charged with mischief under $5,000 and released with a promise to appear in court on July 7.
