Woman strikes car with knife
A report of a woman aggressively striking a parked car with a knife sent Brandon police to the 200 block of Ninth Street at 5:33 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say they found a 33-year-old woman who had knives on her, adding she was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for half a dozen charges, including assaulting a peace officer and failing to attend court.
She was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon, mischief under $5,000, resisting a peace officer and failing to comply with a release order, police said in a news release.
The woman was taken to a detention cell and held for a Thursday morning appearance in court.

Man and woman arrested for theft
Brandon police arrested a man and a woman Wednesday at a business on the 900 block of Victoria Avenue after receiving a call from staff.
At 8:36 p.m., staff reported that a man was in the store who had been given conditions not to be there.
Police found the male suspect and also a woman, who was likewise under an order to not be in the store.
They had both purchased items, but had also stolen some goods, said police.
A 33-year-old man and 32-year-old woman were arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with a release order. They were released with a promise to appear in court July 14.
