WARRANTS BREACHED

Brandon police arrested a 37-year-old woman for allegedly failing to attend court four times and held her for court after the police conducted a “check” in the 600 block of 10th Street on Saturday evening.

Brandon police arrested a 51-year-old man for allegedly breaching his probation order on Sunday. He was released on an appearance notice and expected to appear in court in July.

BREACHING COURT ORDER

A 41-year-old man was arrested by the Brandon police in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue for attending a particular business contrary to his court order on Saturday.

At 8:20 p.m., police received a call from the business; they attended and say they confirmed the suspect is bound by a condition on his undertaking not to attend that particular business. He was arrested and released to appear in court in August.

LICENCE SUSPENSION

Brandon police suspended the licence of a 35-year-old man and impounded his vehicle on Saturday evening in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue — police say he had proceeded through an intersection on an amber light.

The man provided two breath samples, both of which registered a warning on the screening device.

THEFTS BRING ARRESTS

A 49-year-old man was arrested by Brandon police for theft of merchandise worth about $90 from a business in the 1500 block of 18th St on Friday evening.

Police say they identified a suspect from video surveillance and located later in the evening. He was released to appear in court in July.

In an unrelated case, police also arrested a 13-year-old for theft under $5,000 from a vehicle and resisting/obstructing police in the 700 block of 14th Street on Saturday evening. He was located in the area but ran from the police. Following a foot pursuit, police allege, the teen was captured and found with several stolen items.

The youth was also found to have eight pending charges for failing to comply with the conditions of his court order and was lodged at the BPS cells to appear in court Sunday morning.
