A 33-year-old woman is dead after a shooting in Keeseekoowenin Ojibway First Nation early Monday morning.
Yellowhead RCMP were dispatched to a possible shooting at a home on Keeseekoowenin First Nation at around 2:45 a.m.
Officers found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds, RCMP said in a news release.
The officers and emergency medical services performed CPR on the woman, who had a serious injury. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.
They also treated a 26-year-old man at the scene before he was flown to hospital in serious condition by STARS air ambulance.
RCMP said he has since been released.
Officers deemed the incident as targeted and said there was no danger or threat to the public.

Yellowhead RCMP — which consists of detachments in Wasagaming, Hamiota and Elphinstone — continue to investigate along with Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services.
